And the salad looks really good, you'd pay a lot for that in a posh restaurant.
I've harvested 3 spears this week, my asparagus bed got overrun with perennial weeds though too.Lou@RainbowChardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01435858511588433002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4544358755192295336.post-68438585063455696412015-05-05T05:40:02.682-07:002015-05-05T05:40:02.682-07:00I have one on my blog somewhere. That's not the right word, but I can't think how to describe it. I've never considered purchasing radish based on the leaves but I do like the taste so maybe it's something I can look into for next year's seeds.Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10354350096358468967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4544358755192295336.post-5494814083244843982015-05-04T14:53:14.549-07:002015-05-04T14:53:14.549-07:00Waiting was quite a challenge; luckily I have a go...Waiting was quite a challenge; luckily I have a good farmer's market nearby where I was able to get some during the waiting period.Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10354350096358468967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4544358755192295336.post-49862384934071692882015-05-04T14:52:29.034-07:002015-05-04T14:52:29.034-07:00And a few years away from getting some fresh aspar...And a few years away from getting some fresh asparagus with your new seedlings this year!Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10354350096358468967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4544358755192295336.post-20188097429834387232015-05-04T14:51:53.539-07:002015-05-04T14:51:53.539-07:00Ooh, radish soup ... that sounds interesting! I'm growing a variety now that has a much nicer texture than typical salad radishes and someone left a comment on one of my harvest posts about a variety that they like even better than the one I'm growing, so I'll have to check that out. A good way to use fresh radish leaves that takes care of the texture issue is pesto.

I envy you the asparagus, I just don't have room for it in my garden.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4544358755192295336.post-22180319391941797562015-05-04T08:10:45.193-07:002015-05-04T08:10:45.193-07:00I think waiting is always the hardest part for asp...I think waiting is always the hardest part for asparagus. It is a good way to use the more mature ones and gets rid of that texture. Now I get enough better tasting greens at the time I'm picking radishes that I don't bother. I love your little micro salad.
