A big bonus from having the trees removed is the pile of wood chips. With a lot of help from friends, I now have a border around the garden. Not only is it prettier than grass (and weeds), the wood chips will hold in moisture and heat for the veggies.
I miss having wood chips in my garden this year. I think next year I'll have to get some. I really love them in the paths to keep the weeds down.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's it ... by putting them all around the garden I should be able to keep some weeds and grass from growing in around the veggies.
