The Disparity of April

Here is a typical spring picture of tomato and pepper seedlings sitting near a window with southern exposure.  There have been a number of sunny days lately which have supported this wonderful growth in the plants.

But the disparity of April weather ... do you see what's in the top right corner of the picture?  Let's get a close-up.  Ugh.  I had 4-5 inches of snow two days ago with more flurries today.  It's still really cold here ...

  1. Brrr, those tomatoes and peppers are shivering in their pots at the thought of having to go outside!

    1. Brrr, indeed. But it should warm up quickly now (I hope).

  2. I enjoy winter, but when it hangs around this long, it's thoroughly depressing. Your tomato and peppers seedlings - they're HUGE! My peppers are coming along, but I haven't even seeded my tomatoes yet.

    1. I do start my tomatoes early, but I suspect my season is at least 2 weeks shorter than yours. I'm quite pleased with their progress.
