I'm having similar problems with Cherokee Purple from seed I saved. I hope your weather remains good for the tomatoes and peppers, it sure would be disappointing if they don't come around and produce a decent crop.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4544358755192295336.post-82132146531447630152014-08-25T10:16:36.485-07:002014-08-25T10:16:36.485-07:00Usually the overgrown cukes require the 9-day type...Usually the overgrown cukes require the 9-day type of pickling recipe (which I rarely am successful with). I don't have a dehydrator (yet) so have been holding off on drying them. I suppose that's rather silly of me, when you think about it - it's not like they had dehydrators 100 years ago ;)Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4544358755192295336.post-28201143142857021642014-08-25T09:26:58.865-07:002014-08-25T09:26:58.865-07:00A colorful, varied harvest. For the big cucumbers, you could try making senfgurken pickles (Google for a recipe). Even big yellow ones succumb to this treatment.David Veltenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710293718143454000noreply@blogger.com
