Julienned Carrots with Miso and Parsley


A quick and easy side dish!  Saute julienned carrots in 2 Tbsp of butter.  Add 1 Tbsp of white miso paste (or more to taste).  Toss with chopped fresh parsley and season lightly with salt.

Do you know how to julienne carrots?




Square off the carrot first ... so cut off each "rounded" side until you have a general square.  This is homecooking so it doesn't need to be perfect. 

 
 

Cut into thin slices.  If the cut off pieces are similarly thin, use them as well. 



Cut each slice into thin strips.
